But of course we will usually be riding much quieter remote regions of this amazing country. You must be an experienced and confident motorcycle rider. Is there a best time of year for riding? Our Cambodia Motorbike Tours are designed to suit the dry and wet seasons across Cambodia. The dry season is from November to April and it is slightly cooler. The wet season is from May to October and the lush green scenery is incredible. Rain usually occurs for an hour in the afternoon and we often schedule a break for this. Airfares are also generally cheaper at this time of year. Can I bring a pillion passenger? On our adventure and road tours? Yes! And they get a 40% discount with Cambodia Motorbike Tours. Pillion passengers can travel in our air-conditioned support truck whenever they feel like a break from the bikes. What riding gear should I wear? Safety first at Cambodia Motorbike Tours! Typically this should just be what you would wear at home. If you do have ventilated gear for summer riding then obviously that will be the best option. Neck gaiters, or neck socks, are a good idea. For dirt riders this keeps the sun off the back of your neck. In the dry season you can also pull it up over your nose if things get dusty. What about motorbike licences? You will need to carry your motorcycle licence with you, along with an International Drivers Permit to ride with Cambodia Motorbike Tours. In Australia these are readily available through the RACQ. Allow a few weeks for processing. How long do we ride each day? We usually spend five to eight hours on the bikes, but with plenty of stops to see the sights, take photos and enjoy cool drinks from our support truck. It can range from four star hotels in Phnom Penh to rustic homestays in very remote areas.
